Most of 2.8.3 is in the 'stable' TLA branch already -- before a tarball
release I need to finish:

* backporting the recent FF security fixes to mozilla 1.7.5 (done,
waiting to check it in)

* backporting a bunch of leak fixes from GTK+ / glib 2.6 to 2.4.x
(nearly done)

* clean up the disc ejection code in gnome-vfs (I have a patch, which
seems to work -- but has had very little testing)

If you're not concerned about those, you can get a head start on
everyone else and pull GARNOME from arch using Bob's script -- and start
building.

Hoping to get the release out in the next 24 hours or so though :)
