In response to my enquires about figment I got this message from the
maintainer.
Gnome outliner doesn't seem like it is developing rapidly either (only one
release) but I haven't tried it out yet.

Im glad you liked figment. I havn't really developed it for ages now
and I guess you could call it umaintained :( However have you seen;

I know they took at least a bit of figment source code and afaik its
still under development.
