You're totally right with your bug report (the crasher). It is a problem
that occurs internally in gnome-menus, most likely because when adding
an entry the entry file AND the menu file are created/changed; obviously
one change is consumed while the other is happening. This could take
some time to investigate and fix. I'll inform you on news; sorry for the
inconvinience, I've just never noted the bug because my /opt'ed
gnome-vfs wasn't linked against libfam.
