More likely an old version of glibc. Best bet is probably to
add --without-threads to the CONFIG_ARGS in gamin:

CONFIGURE_ARGS = $(DIRPATHS) --disable-dnotify --disable-inotify --without-threads

'course, this might adversely affect performance, but it'll compile at
least :)
