Tim-Phillip,
The short answer is "I can't tell".
I am running gst-plugins-good-0.10.1. When I turn on goom visualization and
attempt to start an mp3 file from within gdb, totem segfaults complaining about
SIG33 [once again, grrr...]. When I handle SIG33 per Bastien's instructions,
totem no longer crashes but instead hangs.
