Re: avahi compile issues on x86_64/python 2.4

Adam,

Your import test exercises the distro version of dbus-python, not the
GARNOME version.


A few things to check...

* make sure that ./freedesktop/dbus-python built and installed

* see where GARNOME is installing python things

        - $garnome/lib/python-2.4/site-packages
        - $garnome/lib64/python-2.4/site-packages
        
and adjust PYTHONPATH in gar.conf.mk accordingly.


To re-run your import test for the GARNOME build of dbus-python, use

$ PYTHONPATH=xxxxxxxxx python
