Hi,
Which version of Debian are you running? We are using woody and have no
significant problems using galeon with nfs mounted home directories.
The only difficulty we had/have is that /etc/hosts.allow must include
ALL:ALL (since we could not determine the correct daemon name yet).

On Red Hat, it's something like "service nfslock start" to start the
service, and use the "chkconfig" program to add it permanently.
There is only a problem : I use Debian... :o)
