To make it clear, I can dock the window to the left or right side, by
either dragging it to the screen border or using the
Super-Left/-Right key combination. This works for me with both the
recent documents and the main window of Evince, and with Geary's
composer window.
Geary's main window is the only one which does not work with either
approach for me.
I can confirm this if my screen is too small for a docked window.
I can dock on a 1920x1080 screen, but not on a 1600x900 screen.
Geary's headerbar eats up a lot of screen estate, with:
- new
- reply
- reply all
- forward
- mark
- add label
- move
- account/label/folder (different sizes)
- trash
- archive (sometimes)
- search
- close
it might not be possible to dock on smaller screens with the current
layout.
