[Geary] messages are never sent

I'm running Geary from git master on Ubuntu 14.04.  I have 2 email accounts which are hosted at Gmail.

WIth the latest master, if I send a message it appears to work (the message isn't visible in my Outbox) but the message is never sent: it doesn't show up in Sent Mail in Gmail. As far as I can tell the sent message is simply lost.

This problem is serious enough that I thought I should report it on the mailing list. I'd be cautious about updating to master until the Geary developers have had a chance to look at this.
