Geary (with previous setup GMail account) say ~"no network
connection", but me connection is sure online...
This is looking like a bug in the version of glib or glib-networking
shipped by Ubuntu 16.04 and derivatives.
You can track progress on resolving this in the ticket on GitLab:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/issues/217
As a work around for the moment, you can disable IPv6 for your network
connections that do not have functioning IPv6 networks, or install
Geary from Flathub <https://flathub.org>, which doesn't have the same
problem on 16.04.
Cheers,
//Mike
