I think the real problem is that we receive many enquiries like this
every year on this mailing list, asking us to fill out some survey for
some "research". But we are never told what this is really about. Also
once we filled it out, the student never share with us any "result" of
the research (even though they even sometimes promise us from the
start they will send us the outcome of the research), and usually they
massively send emails to many projects but don't even bother making
any individual answer when the project contributors email back the
student to ask for more info about what this is about (like our
emails! Let's see if we'll get any answer!).

So I am like the others here, I tend not to fill out any such survey anymore.
