[Gimp-docs] git push error message

When running "git push" I get the error message:
"remote: error: refname 'GIMP_HELP_2_8_2' is ambiguous"
But  "https://git.gnome.org/browse/gimp-help-2"; shows that the push 
succeeded, but why this error message?
How to avoid it?

Before this error message it is a warning telling that push.default is 
unset, the value has changed from 'matching' to 'simple'.  I did not run 
the suggested commands
"git config --global push.default matching" and/or
"git config --global push.default simple".

I think I have asked this before sometime, but am not able to find the 
thread.
