[Gimp-user] Gimp 2.8.22

Although I've had GIMP for some time (version 2.8.14) I haven't used it much. 
That situation is likely to change very soon.  I also haven't used the GIMP
forums much either so even though I've had GIMP for some time, I'm basically a
newbie.  All that aside, I recently downloaded 2.8.22, but haven't installed it
yet.  Have some questions.  Looked in the FAQ's, couldn't find the answers there
so I decided to ask here.

Question 1; Is 2.8.22 compatible with 32bit Windows XP and 64bit Windows10 ?

Question 2; Does 2.8.22 install as a completely separate installation, having
nothing to do with 2.8.14 ?  In other words can 2.8.14 and 2.8.22 live
peacefully together on the same hard drive without getting in each others way ? 
(I'd only have one or the other open at  time)
