[Glade-users] Configure error on compilation

I've succesfully configured, built and compiled some projects on my learning
stage. Then suddenly, when typing ./autogen.sh the following error shows:

 

./configure: line 5052: syntax error near unexpected token 'PACKAGE,'

./configure: line 5052: 'PKG_CHECK_MODULES(PACKAGE, $pkg_modules)'

 

When checking the configure file, I can't find any syntax error. The lines
nearby 5052 are the following:

Have any of you experimented similar issues? Any idea of what might be
wrong?

 

I started getting this error after installing automake 1.9.4 and autoconf
2.59. Before that, I could code, configure, build, compile and run
applications designed in Glade.

 

I'm using Glade 2.0, GTK+ 2.2.0 and RH9.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
