[Glade-users] autogen.sh error

Installed Glade as a Debian package.
./autogen.sh gives:
amlocal: configure.in: 12: macro AM-GTK-PATH not found
in library

The FAQ mentioned about looking for file gtk.m4 with
the command
gtk-config --prefix. But the command is not found.

Have I missed out a certain package?
