[Glade-users] How To Test For "show"?

How can I test if a widget's propert is set to "show",
as in "gtk_widget_show"?

I'd like to code something like the following:

if (label is showing)
{
  gtk_widget_hide(label);
}

but I don't know what the code would be for the if
statement check...
