[Glade-users] the window manager problem

Hi all :
 
In my application , the root window works in full-screen mode and when I click a button , there are a pop-up 
window which is used to make users affirm their operation . The pop-up window is smaller than the root window 
and  present in the middle of root window . I use the gtk_window_set_position() function to set the pop-up 
window's position. My question is that whether I need the window manager or not ?
Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.
