[Glade-users] Problems building application

Hello and sorry for my first stupid question. I'm on an Ubuntu machine 
trying to build my first gtk application with glade and having problems. 
I'm getting error messages:

(gmpg:17180): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 
'close_application'

for all my own callback functions. I've searched and found a few 
occurrences of this problem but not a solution. I've been looking at 
some of the tutorial pages on the web like:

Now in that page the first paragraph says that you should click the 
build button in glade to build the code for the application. That must 
be my problem but unfortunately I can't see that button anywhere on the 
glade application. Can anybody suggest anything?
