[glade--] Problem installing libglademm-2.6.6

Hello all,
I'm a newbie in GUI programming. Currently I'm trying to create a C++ project using gtkmm for the GUI. I can use the gtkmm libraries to write the code. But I haven't been able to install glade-- to design the interface. When I try to install libglademm, it shows the following errors:

/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.1.2/../../../libgtkmm-2.4.so: undefined reference to `g_assertion_message'
/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.1.2/../../../libgtkmm-2.4.so: undefined reference to `g_assertion_message_expr'

Can anybody please tell me any working combination of gtk, gtkmm, libglademm and glademm and probably any quick installation notes. I'm using Fedora Core 8.
