If I compile gnome speech only festival works for me, but if I change the code
	servers = bonobo_activation_query (
		"repo_ids.has ('IDL:GNOME/Speech/SynthesisDriver:0.3')",
		NULL, ev);
to 
	servers = bonobo_activation_query (
		"repo_ids.has ('IDL:GNOME/Speech/SynthesisDriver:0.2')",
		NULL, ev);
freeTTS will work too.

This is probably because I have an old version of freeTTS.
