Changing mouse double click rate

Hi all,

I have a friend that has difficulty using a mouse, and has problems
double-clicking.  I was looking around, and all I could find in regards to
changing mouse settings, was in the gnome control center.  All that would
let us change was the acceleration speed and the threshold.

Does gnome have the ability to change the double-click rate/speed for a
mouse?

If not, does anyone know if this will be an implemented feature?  If so,
when?
