relationship between festival not working and orb warnings?

after I ran test-speech a few times, even though I exited properly, I got out of
memory messages and some processes actually shut down and the same orb warnings
(described in earlier posts) that I got when enabling accessibilityalso showed
up my screen. So I am thinking there may be some connection.
All of this happened even though I did get speech during the tests. It also
appeared that festival wasn't always getting killed after test-speech was run.
