I am not sure I understand what you mean by "they don't provide the
source code".  I am pretty certain all the sources for accessible
Mozilla are in the Mozilla "trunk" CVS, but you must turn on some
build-time options in order to create the gtk2 + atk version.

This may be poorly documented or perhaps not documented at all, in which
case the lack of information is indeed a bug or at least an RFE.
