gnopernicus and braille

Hi all,

I just compiled gnopernicus from cvs, and used the --enable-brltty switch.
I have brltty 3.2 installed on the system.

When I start gnome, and check the braille checkbox in gnopernicus' general
settings dialog, the brltty driver keeps unloading and reloading (I can tell
because it keeps beeping). I never get anything displayed on the braille
display.

System info:
RedHat 8.0
Gnome 2.2 (built from garnome)
braille display: powerbraille
brltty 3.2 (installed from rpm)
