Hi
Exact same problem here. It compiles the synth driver and installs the
server, but I get the same message. Is this gnome 2.3 stuff really worth
bothering with? I don't suppose I can run the latest gnopernicus on gnome
2.2, can I?

Hello all,
I try to compile gnome-speech from cvs and want my DECtalk software to
be included. But unfortunatly when I run speech-test and select the
DECtalk server I obtain the following message and after that the shell
prompt is comming back :
atempting to activate
OAFIID:GNOME_Speech_Synthesis_Driver_Dectalk:proto0.2.
No server selected.
