The run-time dependencies you add if you use at-spi, are (in Gnome 2.4)
only 2 modules: 'glib' and 'ORBit2' both of which are fairly
self-contained. Of course - in order to use ORBit2 some work will be
necessary to integrate the Qt and glib mainloops. I believe there is a
good amount of work in glib-2 to do just that; and AFAIR this was
discussed at some length with the Qt people, so _hopefully_ that should
be easy.
For various (pragmatic) reasons, the at-spi build requires gtk+ and
gail - but this is simply to make sure that people who install at-spi,
don't end up with a fully abstract system that can't do anything ;-) [
without the implementations at-spi is pretty useless ], and for our
internal regression tests.
HTH,
Michael.
