Re: openoffice 1.1 beta 2 accessibility

Is OpenOffice.org launched from the command line ? If so, you should see 
some output in that console saying something like "Registering Application".

If this does not happen, ensure you have gconftool-2 in your path and 
OpenOffice.org is compiled using a jdk >= 1.4: the <install 
path>/program/classes must contain a java_uno_accessbridge.jar file.

Also make sure to select the accessible jre: take a look at <install 
path>/user/config/javarc and check the configured jre. To alter the jre, 
run jvmsetup from the program directory.
