Hello,
With the patch and driver from Mario Gnopernicus has suddenly become
useful for a lot of people who use braille. i have noticed two problems,
and I have some other concerns.
1. The cursor can be set to underline, but it doesn't blink. This is a
very useful feature for finding it and for distinguishing it from a normal
underline. Is there a setting that would make it blink?
2. Looking at the make output, it seems that there is help frombrlmonitor
but not for braille itself. How could this be added?
3. Is there help that lists the keys for keyboard navigation?
4. What is the best way to go about making changes to Gnopernicus? I filed
a bug about support for the ALVA320. That is noow moot with Mario's
driver. However, I would like to see the other things that I have listed
added, and someone with experience has to integrate the driver into
gnopernicus. The HACKING file in the CVS version of Gnopernicus says that
"build sheriff changes are welcome". How does one go about using this
procedure?
Of course, I am willing to work on the changes myself, but I don't have
the experience to integrate the driver into the next release of
Gnopernicus.
Thanks,
John
