Doesn't X-Server Know Which tty it Is Running ON?

Hello,

One of the problems with Mario Lang's brltty driver for Gnopernicus is
determining which virtual console or tty the X-Server has selected to run
on. Doesn't the X-Server itself know this? Isn't there a call to the X
library that will return this information? I'm sure there is an X expert
on this list who can answer this question.
