Debian has a netinst Sarge CD with Speakup.  The regular Debian netinst CD may
also have Braille support, but I'm not sure about that.

If choosing to install Debian, if you can get to a text console, (even if you
can't see it), try

apt-get install gnopernicus

This will install Gnopernicus and all other packages necessary to run it.
