No idea, but if you are having problems, posting specifics will help.

According to some searchs I just did on the Debian site, you want
libglib2.0-dev (but I would have thought you had the installed in any
case for building stuff). The version of glib that is used to make that
package (in Debian unstable) is glib-2.2.3, so that is definitely recent
enough.
