I think you probably will be able to try the 3.0 of Theta. If I understand
correctly, the new system actually allows you to do the download; then
when you purchase you get registration keys. How long you are supposed to
be able to use it before buying I don't know; from what I read on the
website you'll get nag messages--I think that's what it said. that also
could make it work differently; I remember with asap in dos that if you
had the demo you could use it forever but you'd get these nag messages
that drove you nuts and it affected some things--for instance, I had to
use the i option when running msd. I think the same bug is keeping it from
working fully with speakup so I hope it's fixed. I would prefer using
theta to anything else I've seen so far if it would work.
As for buying, I believe you can request an upgrade if you had bought
within the last 90 days. But you will be able also to purchase for
languages other than English.
