Filechooser accessibility

The new filechooser lacks a text entry box by default, which doesn't
seem ideal for accessibility. I've filed
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136541 which has been tagged
2.4.1, which I believe was initially intended to be the release that
2.6.0 shipped with. The new GTK roadmap seems to have pushed 2.4.1
further away, so is there any consensus that this is actually an
accessibility issue, and if so should I make a bit more fuss about it?
