Thanks Timothy,
There are a couple of ways to obtain gok and we'll try to keep this
information up to date here:
http://www.gok.ca/releases.shtml
GOK is quite feature-rich and powerful despite its relatively young age.
It is still a little scruffy in places, and really would benefit from
a growing gok user community that could provide feedback etc.
cheers,
David

Add me to the gnome-accessibility mailing list.
Thank you!
Hi Timothy,
I'm going to look into those two technologies before I reply in depth.
In the meantime do you mind if I add these emails to a mailing list
where we do accessibility development? That will enable us to
possibly
get more feedback and fit nd a better answer faster. Let me know...
cheers,
David

My name is Tim Elliott and I want to move away from using
Microsoft Windows also I would like to use an unix-based operating
system. But I need an on-screen keyboard because I am a college
student with a physical disability and I am going to major in
computer
science. I am currently REACH Interface Author with Word Prediction
for Microsoft Windows and I am currently trying out KeyStrokes 3.1
for
Mac OS X. Check out their web sites
"http://www.ahf-net.com/reach.htm" for REACH and
"http://www.assistiveware.com/keystrokes.php" for KeyStokes 3.1. I
understand that GOK is an on-screen keyboard for Linux . How would
I
go about obtaining it? Would I have to compile in order for me to
install , if so would it come with all of the files that I need to
compile it and to install it? Finally, how mature is it compare to
the
other ones above?
Thank you!
