gnopernicus just stops

Hello,

I am attempting to run gnome/gnopernicus on fedora core 2.

I recompiled gnopernicus to enable brltty support (gnopernicus-0.8.4).
Now when I try to start gnome by typing startx, gnopernicus starts to talk, but then suddenly stops.
