Hi.
You need to set the
CONTROLVT
environment var to the virtual console running your X server. My X
server starts on console 7, so I have the line:
export CONTROLVT=7
I use gdm for logins, so I added the line to my ~/.gnomerc file so it
will be set during the gdm login.
