Oana said that you had to rename the other GNOME_Speech_*.server files
in /usr/lib/bonobo/servers if you wanted to force gnopernicus to use
Festival instead of other drivers.
Although this brute-force approach _will_ work, it should not be
necessary. If you are able to use gnopernicus as-is, you can set all
your voices to use Festival, in the "Speech" section of the gnopernicus
"Settings" dialog. If you can't use gnopernicus as-is, then you can use
gconftool-2 to change the settings manually. It's a little tedious, but
it can be done that way. For a listing of your existing settings, run
gconftool-2 -R /apps/gnopernicus/speech/voices_parameters
And to see the available drivers, use
gconftool-2 -R /apps/gnopernicus/speech/drivers
For more information on using gconftool-2, try "gconftool-2 --help"

Bill
