what should happen when you run orca --setup

i'm running orca --setup and I have my braillelite on and Iit hasn't  
come back to the prompt or anything in several minutes. How long is  
this supposed to take and should I get any messages? also, it wasn't  
clear to me whether to run this as root or a normal user so I'm  
running it as a normal user. Is this correct or not? I assume that  
when you run orca without --setup you would definitely run it as your  
normal user. If the setup continues to hang, is there a way to run it  
and get output as to what the problem is?
