The scenario:
---------------
A teacher of languages wants TTS in English, Spanish, German, French
and Italian. Uses Spanish UTF-8 locale.
1.- starts Speech-dispatcher (plus Festival as a server)
Configuration:
* Festival module for English, Italian and Spanish
* eSpeak (1.19) module for German and French
Both with alsa outputs (no esound, no arts, no oss modules around).
The voices are available.
spd-say works OK.
2.- compiles the subversion version of gnome-speech, gets the three
servers festival, speech-dispatcher and espeak
test-speech: festival OK, speech-dispatcher only in English, no output
for the espeak server
3.- Orca, from the subversion sources
* Festival Driver: OK (festival outputs Spanish)
* Speech-dispatcher: only English voice
The questions:
----------------
Am I doing anything wrong?
(maybe it's a wishlist point) would it be possible to have in the Orca
setup an option added `Language'? would it be possible to shift
language in an easy way when you want a text in a different language
synthesized?
