bioptic telescopes

Hi,

There are someone here that uses a bioptic telescopes, like the one
described at: http://www.ocutech.com/

I wan't to know how this is best/worst when compared with a digital
screen magnifier, like gnome-mag.

The users of these type of equipment still need a digital screen
magnifier? Or these equipments doesn't offer some functions like
contrast manipulation, brightness manipulation, colorblind filters and
others image filters and a digital screen magnifier is still important?

I also think that the price is a great impediment to use this type of
thechnology.
