Information about accessibility of Gnome

Hi everyone!

I'm a blind student from Germany and I'd simply like to know if there is 
any useful tool that could enable me to use Gnome or any other desktop 
system with a Braille display and / or voice output and if there is, 
where I can get it. Up to now I try to get startet with Suse Blinux, but 
command line only is not very satisfactory in the long run.
