Hi Kris,
It sounds like out-of-the-box there isn't much in the way of a11y. But
some say it is simple to install orca, see for example:
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/Accessibility
I haven't got an eeepc myself so can't confirm.
cheers,
David

Hi,
Has anyone here looked at the ASUS Eee PC in terms of accessibility and
whether it is feasible to e.g. install Orca on it (along with all dependencies)
to provide access to a blind user? It seems like the small footprint of the
machine could make it quite handy, especially in comparison to e.g. the more
classic (and expensive) notetakers.
Cheers,
Kris
