Ubuntu 11.10

I troll this list normally so forgive me if I missed any info.  I updated to
11.10.  I normally develop on 11.04 but now that the classic windows is
gone.  What is the method for doing the following two things?

Atl-f1

List all applications and other stuff in whatever manor now.

Alt-f2

Open a box so that I can start gnome-terminal.

Is there a web page for access tips with Ubiquity?
