A new developer's release of the GNOME Personal Information Manager
(gnome-pim 1.1.5) is now available at:
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/unstable/sources/gnome-pim/gnome-pim-1.1
.5.tar.gz
This version requires gnome-pilot 0.1.50 for Palm Pilot support...
The highlight of this release is a fix to the vCalendar parser which
should enable one to set, save, and load multiple categories for each
to-do item. I'd greatly appreciate it if people could test this
feature and let me know of any problems.
Please note, however, that there is no guarantee that the parsing
change has not screwed up other things. I've tested it and seen no
problems on my system, but if you have any important information in
your calendar, it is probably a good idea to back it up before
upgrading to gnome-pim 1.1.5. (The same goes for your gnomecard
address book.)
Also, just to forestall additional bug reports, I have discovered a
problem which was causing gnomecal to crash with a SIGFPE (Floating
Point Exception) on startup. It is related to the daylight savings
time switchover, and only occurs on the calendar day which contains
the switchover in your local timezone. Unfortunately, for most of
the United States, that was yesterday. Thank you to those who sent
in bug reports, and you have my apologies for the inconvenience--- by
this point, the problem should have gone into hibernation for another
few months, and I am close to a fix which will prevent it from
occurring in the future.
Finally, 1.1.5 is likely to be turned into 1.2 in the near future, so
now would be a great time for translators to update their
translations in preparation for the stable release. Thanks in
advance!
As always, if you discover any bugs, please report them to
bugs.gnome.org.
