Anjuta 0.1.6 release

We are proud to announce the latest stable release of Anjuta, 0.1.6.
This release was a long time in the making, but some interesting
features have been added and some big improvements have been made. The
Anjuta website can be found at: http://anjuta.sourceforge.net

What is Anjuta?
---------------

Anjuta is a versatile Integrated Development Environment (IDE),
primarily intended for C/C++. It has been written for GTK+/GNOME, and
features a number of advanced programming facilities, such as project
management, application wizards, an interactive debugger and a powerful
source code editor, with source browsing and syntax highlighting.

Anjuta is an effort to marry the flexibility and power of command-line
tools with the ease-of-use of the GNOME graphical user interface. That's
why it has been made as user-friendly as possible.
What is new / changed in this release?

   * New class browser and file browser in the project manager (based on
ccview),
   * Additional application wizards,
   * New Gnomish icon set & splash screen,
   * Expanded, GDP-standardized manual & FAQ,
   * New context sensitive help and GNOME API browser (if DevHelp and
books are installed),
   * Added preferences for setting caret and selection colors,
   * New translations,
   * A lot of bug fixes so stability improvements.

What are the short-term objectives?
-----------------------------------

   * We'll now focus on integrating the new project manager, which will
enable the use of very customisable project trees, with any combination
of libraries / executables / data.
   * The debugger may be rewritten, as no extensive debugging has been
done.
   * GNOME 2 platform port.

Of course, new features will also be considered as the result of user
feedback, so please feel free to get involved.

Requirements
------------

   * libxml,
   * scrollkeeper,
   * standard GNU development tools,
   * autoconf/automake.

Optional tools
--------------

   * gnome-help-browser (or Nautilus), to display the included
documentation,
   * gdb, for debugging sessions,
   * grep, for research in files,
   * ctags, in order to have class browsing,
   * indent, for automatic source code indenting,
   * DevHelp, used for context sensitive API browser support (cf.
http://devhelp.codefactory.se).

------------

   * source tarball:
http://anjuta.sourceforge.net/packages/16/anjuta-0.1.6.tar.gz and
shortly on the GNOME project FTP mirrors (stable/sources),
