Dear users of both large and small computing tools,
A new release of Guikachu is available.
About Guikachu
--------------
Guikachu is a GNOME application for graphical editing of resource
files for PalmOS-based pocket computers (get it?). It is written by
Gergő Érdi <cactus cactus rulez org>. Check out
http://cactus.rulez.org/projects/guikachu/ for up-to-date informations.

About this release
------------------
The main new feature of this release is the ability to position
widgets in the Form Editor with dragging them around with the
pointer. The Form Editor is also becoming more and more
feature-complete as new widgets are implemented in every release.
New features:
* A real nasty bug made the `Save changes?' dialog displayed
when closing a changed document useless when the file has
not been given a name before. It is fixed now.
* Drag & Drop support: You can move the widgets in the Form
Preview around (just click & hold the mouse button #1)
* Some of the non-trivial properties have tooltips to guide you
* Fixed support for Button widgets (the frame type was not
saved/loaded)
* New supported widgets: push button, selector trigger, check box
* Better size approximations for automatic heights
* A small build-time fix by Murray Cumming <murrayc usa net>
* Tons of under-the-hood improvements
Guikachu uses GTK-- and GNOME-- for its user interface. File I/O is
implemented with the libxml package. Dialog windows are loaded via
libglade. You will need the versions of these packages available in
the GNOME 1.4 bundle (with the exception of GNOME-- which you will
need to upgrade to version 1.1.17)
To actually create the PalmOS resource files, you will also need PilRC
(part of the GNU PalmOS SDK) to compile the .rpc files produced by
Guikachu.
Beware of bugémons!
