Hi,

GConf 1.0.5 had some dup2() calls with backward arguments, resulting
in some strange behavior. 1.0.6 fixes this.

Before compiling, please be sure you don't have old libxml headers.
You should not have a directory "includedir/libxml", only
"includedir/libxml2/libxml" and "includedir/gnome-xml/libxml".  If you
have "libxml" right under includedir, you need to delete it.
