ANNOUNCE: gcalctool v5.5.15 [thought to be stable]

Gcalctool is the default GNOME desktop calculator.

It has Basic, Advanced, Financial and Scientific modes. Internally it 
uses multiple precision arithmetic to produce results to a high degree 
of accuracy.

This release is to get developers/users pounding on the new arithmetic 
operator precedence mode. We'd like to make this the default mode at 
startup time for gcalctool in GNOME 2.10, but we need to make sure that 
it's solid. Your help in trying it out and reporting problems would be 
very much appreciated.

Note that gcalctool requires the Gtk+ libraries that comes with 
GNOME 2.6 or later in order to build.


Changes since the last gcalctool version in the v5.5.X series: (5.5.9).
Read 'em in reverse order to appreciate them better.

* Adjusted the scroll_right() routine to only scroll right if the
  horizontal scroll bar is visible.

* Fixed bug #158357. Removed the -DGNOME_DISABLE_DEPRECATED and the
  -DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED flags from the INCLUDES definition in
  .../gcalctool/Makefile.am for now, to allow it to successfully build
  against the latest GNOME/Gtk+.

* Slight adjustment to correct check the Advanced mode menu item when
  the user had previously terminated gcalctool in that mode.

* Changed the names of the gconf mode type key so that there is backward
  compatibility.

* Reset the initial default mode to BASIC.

* Fixed bug #157757. The horizontal scrollbar for the display area will
  now only be visible when needed. It will also display the rightmost part
  of the display as you are entering new input.

* Added in a very basic mode for gcalctool. Rather than calling this a
  "Light" mode, the existing "Basic" mode is now renamed to "Advanced"
  and the new basic mode is called "Basic".

* Fix for bug #157021. X^Y now works for -X with integer Y. -X with
  non-integer Y will now display a descriptibe error in the status bar.
