*** gtkmm 2.12:
gtkmm 2.11 wraps new API in GTK+ 2.11, and will become stable gtkmm 2.12
when GTK+ becomes GTK+ 2.12. It will be API/ABI-compatibile with gtkmm 2.10.
2.8, 2.6 and 2.4. It is a version of the gtkmm-2.4 API.
The API is now frozen. Only minor API changes will be made before the gtkmm
2.12.0 release, with permission from the GNOME release-team.
There's aren't many changes in this release, but this is your last chance to
check the new API and tell us about something that needs to be corrected. We
maintain API/ABI stability, so after we release gtkmm 2.12.0 it will be too late:
New API in gtkmm 2.12:
http://www.gtkmm.org/docs/gtkmm-2.4/docs/reference/html/newin2p12s.html
New API in glibmm 2.14:
http://www.gtkmm.org/docs/glibmm-2.4/docs/reference/html/newin2p14s.html
and check the ChangeLog too.
gtkmm stays in-sync with GTK+ by following the official GNOME release schedule:
http://www.gnome.org/start/unstable/
Bindings for the rest of the GNOME Platform are also available, and are also
API-stable.
