Snowy 0.2 "Papillon" Released

Howdy Snowy fans,

I know we've kept you waiting, but I'm quite pleased to share with you
the new Snowy 0.2 release. This is alpha quality software, about to
be truly dogfooded (if you'll excuse the pun) as we launch the
GNOME-hosted Tomboy Online private alpha. We'll let you know how it
goes; for now, think twice before using this on your public server or
any important data!

If you're interested in joining us for the Tomboy Online private alpha
or the public beta, please fill out this survey we just set up today:

For the uninitiated, Snowy is a web-based viewer for your Tomboy
notes. It's written in Python using the Django web framework, and is
licensed under the AGPL.

Tomboy Online is a deployment of the Snowy software on GNOME servers,
intended to provide free note sync and online note access to all
Tomboy users.

Although we have been remiss in getting frequent releases out this
cycle, development is picking up again and we expect the next cycle to
be very exciting as we work toward our goal of releasing Snowy 1.0 and
the Tomboy Online public beta in time for GNOME 3.0.

Snowy 0.2, "Papillon" features:
* Better mysql (and especially innodb) support (#624934, etc)
* Support for more OpenID providers
* Optional new user account moderation
* Do not show other users non-public notebook names (#614814)
* Redirect from /username to /username/notes (#614815)
* Remove all usage of django-reversion for now
* Fix searching for notes in django admin UI

Contributors to this release include:

Jeff Schroeder, Sandy Armstrong, Andrew Ruthven

All help is welcome! We'd especially appreciate help from web
designers to improve our templates. Please join us on snowy-list, or
in #snowy on GIMPNet, and we'll help you get all set up.

Thanks for your support,
Sandy
